All we want for Christmas is two margaritas and a puppy! December 18th the Johnnie Brown’s team is partnering with Bacardi, Grey Goose, Ilegal Mezcal, and Big Dog Ranch Rescue to bring you the second coming of the most fun dog adoption day of all time. Santa Paw’s 2 dog adoption day kicks off at 12 PM with live music, drink specials, raffles, giveaways, and of course LOTS OF DOGS looking for a forever home and family. The event goes until 4pm and we would love for you to bring your well-behaved furry family members to enjoy the fun. We will have a dog friendly food menu available and plenty of water bowls for all the good boys and girls.

Santa Paws Dog Adoption Day at Johnnie Brown’s is free to attend. The only thing required of you is an open heart and a willingness to give a homeless pet a second chance. If you happen to meet your four-legged soulmate we ask that you have a valid ID and be ready to pay the adoption fee. If you rent your home, a letter from your landlord giving you permission to have a pet will help ensure the adoption goes smoothly.
Not ready to adopt but you love dogs? Come hang out and make a donation at our puppy kissing booth ($1 for a Kiss $2 to Watch) or bring new dog toys, leashes, collars and treats to donate and receive a raffle ticket for each item.
Adoptions: First two guests adopting a dog will receive a Johnnie Brown’s gift card in the amount of the adoption fee courtesy of our friends at Bacardi USA.
Raffle Prizes: 1 additional adoption fee covered, signed sports memorabilia, Bacardi and Johnnie Brown’s Swag, and fun pet accessories going on all day. All guests who purchase a Grey Goose, Ilegal Mezcal, or Bacardi cocktail will receive a raffle ticket. All guests who make a donation of $10 or more to Big Dog Ranch Rescue will also receive a raffle ticket.

Hi! My name is Mila! I was rescued from another rescue organization in Florida before arriving at the Big Dog Ranch Rescue. When I was found I was in really bad shape and they weren't sure I was going to make it. I spent a month with the veterinarian healing up. I am a happy girl who would love to meet you. I love to walk on a leash and I walk quite well, but I can be very strong at times. I have lots of energy and would do best in a home that is very active. I love to receive affection and just want to snuggle up on the couch with my new family! I may be house-broken and am crate trained and am just waiting for someone to snatch me up! When I'm excited I like to jump on people sometimes. Unfortunately, I did arrive at the ranch with testing positive for Heartworm, but lucky for me, the veterinarians here have been taking excellent care of me and I will be fully treated at the ranch until the entire course of treatment is complete, even after I am adopted and happily residing in my new home.

Please don't be mad if in the process I wind up chewing some of your belongings or if I have accidents in the house - I promise I will get the hang of things! I require LOTS of time, energy, and patience, but my sweet little face makes it all worth it! This is a learning curve for us both but I promise that if you put the time and energy into helping me grow big and strong, you'll wind up with a wonderful little best friend for life.

I would be an excellent choice for a first time adopter looking for an energetic, small dog who is always going to be happy to go on a new adventure. I think I'd be happiest living in an adult only home, due to my energy level, and I would most certainly prefer to find a house that has a great big yard for me to run around and play in. A busy home would most certainly be my speed and as far as visitors go - the more the merrier! I may even be the type of pup that you want to bring out and about in public with you as your do your daily activities. I would benefit from continued obedience training, but do appear to have a good understanding of potty-training.
